Hi, folks! Welcome to the Book Paradise!

Let me introduce myself first. My real name is Iulian Baicus, I have been quite an active blogger on WordPress in the last 6 years, in my real life I am Assistant Professor, Teaching Romanian Literature and stuff at the Literature Department, Faculty of Letters, Bucharest University for 15 years. In these interval of time I have managed to publish few books on different writers, all in Romanian, but I would be delighted to come back to the English reviewing or writing essays on books for you, cause I need to brush up my English, I used to be an oustanding speaker and I hope I haven t lost my touch yet. Quite a long time, isn’t it? As time goes by… I am quite keen on reading or talking together, let me present the world of global literature, for sure I am going to chat with you about themes and motives, but I will try not to lecture or analyze books from a professoral point of view, I am in my early forties, and I am trying to expand my way of understanding European literature by writing short essays in English on several American, British, French, or other European writers, celebrities or not. All the bookworms are welcome on my blog, please feel free to grab a book from my shelves and let’s talk about books, Romanian or International, be my guests, take a sit in this library where all the books are created equal, lying down on one shelf, as T.S.Eliot once stated in his magnificent essay Tradition and Personal Talent. P.S. Books are not the only topic here but the most important one, we will discuss movies, books adaptations to the cinema screen, theatre and playwrites, architecture, essays, biographies, paintings, allmost everything that seems important to me and I want to share with you.
